FS Veillette Minotour 5FL - Not For Sale

Sign in to disble this ad
I've decided to keep this beauty

For Sale: $1800 Paypal CONUS. No trades.

Veillette short scale 30" fretless five. Custom made in Woodstock NY.

An amazing instrument. Chambered body, quilted maple top, gray/tan/blue color. Lined Pau ferro fingerboard. IMO one of the most gorgeous feeling and playing necks ever put on a bass: Simply perfect.

Short scale (30"). Pure sound. Active buffer/pre with passive tone control is useful and musical throughout its range.

Can get woody, upright sounds (ala a Rob Allen Mouse) but offers more variation. Also has that magic 5th string that you're never going to get on a Mouse.

According to Veillette:
With all the lively midrange growl of a fine classical guitar's bass strings, a huge natural low-end, and effortless playability, the Minotaur Nylon-string bass is a very different and inspiring new beast.

Strung with Labella tape wounds, E-C.

Despite being one of the highlights of my piezo posse, I'm trying to streamline my collection. I have a Veillette singlecut that I play more often.

Photos show a bit more "blue"...

sorry hula girl strap is definitely NOT INCLUDED. Veillette gig bag is.

I'm Withdrawing the Bass from Sale

I've decided this bass is going into the Permanent Piezo Posse. It sounds and plays to good to part with
