Vintage 1981 G&L L2000 Bass Guitar

Just got this. It is in very good condition, Rosewood board, neck is clean.

Mahogany body with sunburst finish. Body has minor wear but all in all in very good shape. Based on info from internet the serial # B008055 is from 1981. Weighs in at 10 lbs.
Slotted pole pieces, active preamp. Has so many different tones, I can't describe them all here. Anyone who has played one of these knows what I'm
talking about. Comes with original case.

$1300 + shipping.

The back of that thing in particular looks great.

No buckle rash on a 29-year old instrument... wow. The case looks great, too.

Mahogany, eh?

Someone's bound to ask "what's it weigh?" so you might as well get that info out there while you're at it.

Wow!!!

I used to own an identical bass to this...in fact that serial # even looks familiar...it could be, you never know. Mine was damn near 12Lbs and 1 & 3/4ths" width at the nut (maybe even wider?), but it was worth every pound in tone and sustain. I sold it in the early 1990's when I was leaving the country for a few years and needed to travel light.

Anyway, a BIG bump for this. I was an idiot to sell mine. Truly it is the only instrument or amp that I have ever regretted selling. Leo Fender's most versatile design to be certain.

If I hadn't just tied my money up in buying a p-bass I'd be ALL OVER THIS!!! Someone buy this so I can stop looking at this thread : )

Had one too, picked up for $350 back in the early 90's, got rid of it for a 2500 late 90's model, so dumb. If I could scrape the cash together this would be mine forever, lol.

This one does also, I just have discovered that I prefer the neck on the L1000s and the passive option.
