FS: Vintage 1982 Ibanez BLAZER Bass (Stingray/Precision copy)

Up for grabs is this vintage Ibanez, in great condition for its age. Neck is in excellent shape with minimal fret wear. The Blazer series was made in the early 80's in Japan. This is most likely from 82. Swamp ash body with maple neck. Feels like about 9 pounds.

Most Blazer basses had a single P bass pickup, but this rare model sports a humbucker similar to a Stingray. Tone-wise it sounds like a cross between a P and a MM. Very cool sound that works great for all styles of rock, punk, funk, etc. But can also get warm and mellow if you roll down the tone knob and play near the neck.

Electronics are passive. The stock stuff was old and scratchy, so I replaced everything (CTS pots, new wiring, and OrangeDrop tone cap).

Brand new D'Addario XL165 strings installed today. I gave it a full setup so the action is nice and low.

$350 shipped in the lower 48 states. No trades.

Very cool. I'm considering this one. Any case or bag?

No case or bag included at that price. I could certainly pick one up at GC for about $30 - $40.

If this has a 1.5 inch nut I might take it.
