FS: Vintage 80s Fender MIJ Jazz Special

Rock solid. Built like a (Japanese) tank. 1980s Fender Japan Jazz Special P/J. Just like Duff! I think it's a 1987, because the neck is clear coated not finished black, but I don't know for sure. All original. $425 shipped ConUS.

I don't really need any trades, at least not anything comparable to the value of this bass, I need a Geddy Fender, or American Special Jazz, that's about it. See, I told you, not comparable.

Comes with Brand New Fender gigbag, strings are brand new D'addario Half Wounds (30 seconds of play time).

Issues:
  • Has a dent in the headstock
  • Previous owner engraved some kind of serial/initials into the both the body and back of the neck
  • Usual bumps and buckle-rash for a 25 year old instrument
*Everything is pictured*

The "E8" in the serial number suggests that it's a 1988.

Thanks, Febs, I thought '87 was the last year of production for these guys, but the 8 would make sense for 1988.
