A gorgeous & rare vintage D'Agostino Jazz Bass copy, made between '82-84. Visually stunning with block inlay and bound neck and a tight, dense woodgrain with a luscious tobacco sunburst. I'm not sure of the wood but it kind of looks like mahogany, and the tone and feel reminds me of my old Guild B-301 which was mahogany.
Great condition, just a few marks (see pics below and here:
Pictures by etthompson1 - Photobucket) of honest road & play wear, appears all original except bridge pickup professionally rewound by Bill Arnsparger of Arnsparger pickups (
Arnsparger Guitar Pickups - Hand-wound Electric Guitar Pickups). Stamped "made in Japan" on neck plate.
Some sound clips are available, first through a POD X3 on the "RnB Standard" setting and then on their version of an Aguilar. Starts halfway between the p/ups, then neck, then bridge:

Then through my SWR Basic Black (some distortion from the recorder on bassier sounds):

Chunky, vintage style neck and a deep, woody, muscular tone.
Freshly strung with D'Addario Chromes. Comes with a TKL hard shell case of similar vintage to bass. $225 + actual shipping.
For about the same price as a generic Squier, you can have a real & rare vintage bass with tons of authentic MOJO. I love this bass, only selling because I need the cash to cover a '73 P I just bought. I wish I could keep it but my loss is your gain!
Here's what the VG Price Guide '09 has to say about these: "1976 - early 90's. Import company established by Pat D'Agostino. Solidbodies imported from...Japan '82-84 (hence my date above)."
PM any questions.
Thanks Eric
