For Sale: Teisco-made Silvertone short-scale, Model 1490. Made in 1969 or 1970. Sold with original case, strap and Sears receipt showing 1970 purchase date.
Plays great. Bass has minor cosmetic flaws where previous owner attached masking tape (along neck as side dots, across pickup selector switch). Case still holds together, but there is substantial scuffing on the surface. (The case bears the same relationship to a hardshell case that a cardboard suitcase bears to real luggage--but it is still in one piece and functions.) Pickup selector switch is a little sticky, but functions as well.
Strung with new D'Addario flats. Otherwise, everything on this bass is original.
