Up for sale is my 2006-made Warwick Corvette 4-string fretless bass, bubinga body, ovangkol neck, ebony fretboard, passive MEC electronics.
I like this bass, and it was my first fretless, but baby-number-two on the way means I need to thin out my bass herd.
I bought it in October(ish) of 2009 for $699.99 from Guitar Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The tag had it listed for around $850 (if I remember right... the guy supposedly "cut me a deal because I bought a bunch of other stuff.")
I've taken great care of it by putting the Warwick-supplied beeswax on it every couple of months, and I've always kept flatwounds on it. It had roundwounds on it from the store, and there are some minimal string marks on the fretboard, none of which hinder any of the playability. The rest of the bass is in perfect condition, as far as I can tell, and I haven't found any dents or scratches. I only gigged it for about 15 shows in non-smoking rooms and a couple of churches, and I would imagine that it's seen fewer than 20-hours of playing time since I bought it.
It comes with the Warwick Rockbag gigbag (part of a shoulder strap's padding is ripped, but it hasn't bothered me; shouldn't bother you either) and the Warwick tool set (folder thing with truss rod, allen wrench things, beeswax stuff, manual, paper goodies).
I put straplocks on it, but I still have the original hardware. It will be in the gig bag as well.
I'd like to sell it for $600.00, shipping not included. I've never shipped anything this big, so we can figure that out if we come to that point. I'd much rather do a local sale so I can just hand it to you. I live near Abilene, Texas, but will drive just about anywhere in Texas to meet you (My wife and I travel a lot for work, so we could probably work it out so that I don't have to make a trip for just selling the bass). I probably won't do a trade for anything, but you never know.
Thanks for looking, and please PM me or post here if you're interested.

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm assuming that this letter correlates to the city in which the bass was made, but that's just a guess. Anyone know if that's right? (Bump)
