FS: Warwick Corvette Fretless WENGE

Fretless just isn't my thing so I'm selling my 1997 Warwick Corvette fretless. It's in very good condition and has been well taken care of despite its age (I'm the 3rd owner). It was made in Germany and has a bubinga body, slim wenge neck, ebony fingerboard, brass nut, recessed straplocks, and has been upgraded with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders. Currently strung with TI Jazz flats. It comes shipped with the original pickups, a Levy's strap, and a generic hardshell case. Weighs 10.5 lbs on the bathroom scale.

Surprisingly little mojo on this thing. There are a few very small scratches near the base and between the neck pickup and neck, but they're so small and blend so well with the body that I'm having a really hard time capturing them. There's some string rash on the neck but it's surface level and also quite difficult to get in pictures. It's there if you shine it in natural light but it doesn't affect the sound at all.

I'm asking $585 shipped SOLD. No trades, I'm saving for a custom build.

Previous owner's thread with pics: Warwick Corvette fretless '97 w/ SD 1/4 LBers I am aware that the URL to the rest of the pics is dead and I'm trying to get replacement ones.

Dumb question(s) from a Warwick ignoramus:
- how often does the body need to be waxed and what does that entail?
- is the neck the 38.50 mm (1.5") or 44.00 mm (1.7")?
- I think it's passive, but you can confirm
- Weight?
- do you have the original pickups?

Thanks!

1. I use Warwick wax on it about once every other month out of habit. When I first got my Thumb it was bone dry and required frequent waxing; this hasn't been the case with the Corvette and it really only needs waxing once every 3 or 4 months. It's pretty easy - rub a layer of wax on with a clean cloth, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, and buff off.

2. 1.5" nut

3. It is passive, but keep in mind the quarter pounders have a higher output

4. It weighs 10.5 lbs (solid bubinga body)

5. I have the original pickups.

Thanks for the quick response! Love Quarter Pounders and the bass looks awesome. Lots of YouTube clips of the Corvette fretless which make me want it.

G/L with the sale.
