FS- Warwick Corvette Std 5 Ash - Nirvana Black

Sign in to disble this ad
- Sold -

I've decided to sell my Warwick Corvette Standard 5 string. This bass is made in Germany and is NOT a Rockbass.
It was purchased 2-14-09 and weighs in at exactly 9 lbs. on my digital bathroom scale.

It's a great bass in near perfect condition, but it was never a good fit for me. I bought it on impulse because it was on sale, and while I really like the sound and feel I could never come to terms with a 5 string. I'm playing a MIM J bass now, and while it's a bit of a step down from the quality of the 'Wick, it's much more comfortable for me to play.

Here's the info:

Serial # D 143760 08
9.0 lbs
Ash body
Wenge Fingerboard
Ovangkol Neck
MEC passive pickups/passive electronics
Scale: 34"
Just-A-Nut III
Warwick strap locks

The Warwick gig bag and "User Kit" (binder, manual, wrenches, etc) is included.

I currently have a set of DR Low Riders 45-65-85-105-130 on it and the 5th string is a D'Addario XL because I liked the sound of that one better.
I have the original strings packaged up and also the DR Low-Rider 5th string that was replaced.

Photos are here

There is a small ding on the back of the horn, visible in one of the photos, and above it there is a little white hairline scratch that could be rubbed out, but I left it alone.
The headstock has a tiny mark on the edge just above the G string tuner. If you look closely at the last photo full size you should be able to see it.

It really is in near perfect shape, but these are the few marks the body has on it.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Asking $700.00 shipped to the lower 48.

I might be contacting you shortly upon tax return time at the end of the month, if this is still here.

I have a posting for my Warwick Corvette 5 (FS/FT Warwick Corvette Std 5 String) and am selling it for the same reasons as you seem to be . Since I'm working something out with someone local (as I'd rather not ship it), I've referred a fellow TB'er to you who made an offer on mine. Expect a PM from him soon

Bump.

I'll also consider trades for a 'Wick 4 string.

I thought there would be more interest - just got the new MF catalog and this bass is in it and still selling for $1400.
