$750 shipped, or $700 for pickup here in PDX (or within a reasonable drive).
Made in Germany in 1996.
All-wenge neck and fretboard.
24 brass frets, worn but with plenty of life left in them.
Brand new Just-a-Nut III.
Bartolini pickups and Bart 3-band preamp (possibly stock in this year's production? Not sure).
Weighs a bit over 10 lbs.
Schaller straplocks; the original countersunk ones were removed and the holes doweled and filled. I'll include the Schaller strap-end parts.
Your choice of plastic knobs (shown) or the original chrome metal knurled knobs.
Neck is straight, no issues of any kind that I know of.
Low B string is the tightest and snarliest I've ever heard from a 34" scale.
The tone is like classic J, but more aggressive. The slap tone is to die for--super crisp and taut and spanky.
This bass is a road warrior, most of the body finish has worn off, and there are loads of surface dings and worn spots. I think it looks beautiful, like an old leather jacket. True hard-earned vintage appearance, with no structural cracks or any other problems. This is one of those basses that got its wear because it sounds so good that it was probably played nonstop from the day it was new.
Comes with a beat-up old Warwick gig bag.
I'll also throw in a long Comfort Strapp!
