The 93 looks like it has a maple neck which would make it a streamer bolt on, precursor to the lx and very rare. I have one and will have it till I die. a nice bright sound that my church soundman loves.

That Spector looks like one that I used to own. It was that bass that made me fall in love with the brand. From the looks of it, it is not a Euro, but is a NS4CRFM. The solid maple body wings and matte bridge are the two clues that make me think this, as the newer Euros and Euro LX had a shinier bridge and an alder/walnut/maple body. If it is an NS4CRFM like the one that I used to own, it also has an EMG BT 2-band preamp. Wish I had the funds to snag it.

As I'm sure you know, the Euro's, not the LX's, still had solid Maple body wings. My fairly early (NB0508) Euro4 has a matte bridge, which disqualifies that as a determining factor.

I ultimately believe you may be right, however, as I've never seen a Euro without the serial on the back of the headstock, while many NSCR's had it stamped in the control cavity.

I thought the NS4CRFM was a Stuart Spector Design bass with SSD logo on the head stock. I'll e-mail spector the serial number and see what they say. If there are any spector experts out there, please help id my bass.

It was...up until '99 when he got the Spector name and logo back. They continued until 2001 when the Euro4/5's started.

Thank you, so maybe my Spector is a NS4CRFM made between 1999 and 2001.

Did you locate the serial (probably in the cavity since it's not on the back of the headstock)?

Simple four digits=NSCR.
Simple four digits with NB in front (NBxxxx) + solid body wings=Euro4.

Bassdude BE,

When you get to the photbucket page click view fatrat 1023's profile

Then on the next page click all albums

A pop up window will come up with all his albums

The LX's, The doublebuck are there, but I dont see the Masterman.
