Ok, hard times call for hard measures. I don't want to sell this bass but I must.
Here is a back story on the bass. In Dec. 2009 my band room was robbed and my main bass, my bass was stolen. It was a Pat Wilkins p bass with dual p bass pickups. I was devastated, and to this day I have yet to find a bass that I am as comfortable on.
Fast forward a month, I contacted Pat and he was gracious enough to help me try to recreate this bass. But I did not have the funds to by a completely custom Wilkins so I thought I would try to do it with Warmoth parts.
1. Warmoth 72' swamp ash p-bass body, Candy Apple Green done by Pat Wilkins
2. Warmoth Tele bass neck (fender decal installed by me can be easily removed)
3. Maple Neck is bound and blocked with vintage tint gloss and light birdseye
4. Custom dual Wilkins P-bass pickups, hand wound by Pat himself
5. Badass II bridge
6. Nordstrand 3B-5a Preamp (Vpp-Bl-Treb-Mpp-Bass)
7. Brand new G&G case
This bass looks amazing as does all of Pat's finishes. Has two small paint chips, on the bout and the other on the headstock. And some other small dings that were hard to show. As much as love this bass, I just can't justify holding onto it. Also, just got a better scale and this bass is in the 9lb range
