Second Price Reduction!
I am selling my recently and extensively renovated Wishbass, Stude, model #1308. I have played this only in my living room and only a very limited amount (like 2 hours), as the renovations were completed in late December 2012.
The price is being reduced again, this time to
$675, $600 $550 o/b/o. I have spent $775 buying and refinishing this. I offer to pay half of shipping in the US and insure the shipment up to $1,000. I will include a soft shell case and tons and tons of protective packing material to ensure its safety.
Except for the fretlines, all the renovations were done by Dave Ropper at davesbassplace.com. The fretlines were done at Danser Guitar Works in Durham, NC. It weighs about 6.9 lbs on my bathroom scale.
Here is a link to the page where the changes are described, plus pictures:

Here is a summary of the items done to improve the bass:
- Removed excess fretboard
- Removed excess wing to make it easier to handle/play
- Added a Kent Armstrong pick up with a toggle switch to provide parallel, series, and split options
- Added a tone knob
- Jack moved to the bottom of the bass
- Sanded and Sealed
Also, it has a new pair of strings on it: D'Addario ETB92 Tapewound Bass Guitar Strings, Medium, 50-105.
There are two little dents next to the pick up that were part of the fabrication of the bass. They have been sealed. They do not affect the playing.
Thank you for reviewing this post.
