Would anyone say that these basses are equal to the workmanship that goes into a Sadowsky bass/ I am in the market for an upper line jazz 5 and am strongly considering a Sadowsky Metro.

I would definitely say this. The Xotic has a more flexible preamp and they can be on the heavy side, but the workmanship is as good as anything I've seen. Very happy with my Xotic but not knocking the Metros, you can't go wrong with either!
