How did you replace the pickups with EMGs ???? did you need some wood work or they were direct replacement ????

I purchased the bass this way...the pickups are emg 45 dc there is a little room to spare...no routing was done as far as I know. Thanks!

These were/are nice basses. My guess is the EMG's are in because the stock electronics package tended to be a bit noisy.

Now I would think the bass is probably dead quiet and sounds great.

Use 40DC's. 35DC's are for 4-strings and 45Dc's are for 6-strings, though they are bar magnets I think. The 35DC's should fit the BBN5A routing with space to spare. Just fit black foam beside the pickups. Enjoy!

edit: sorry Mig, it should be 40DCs!
