FS Yamaha Motion B II $300

Price drop to $275 for this nifty bass.

Up for sale is a Yamaha Motion B II bass. I've owned this bass for many years, and used it when I needed a solid rock sound vs. the jazz stuff I usually play... and when my shoulders were hurting. The bass has a 32 ½ inch scale. Has been re-fretted and is playing all the way up and down the neck beautifully! Weighs in at about 7.7 lbs ! Comes with softshell case that fits it quite well.

Selling only to the continental US please. I accept Paypal only, and will ship immediately after payment is received. Shipping weight is 13 lb. Box dimensions are 15 by 4 by 46 inches.

It's a fine tuning bridge, works like a charm. I had one of these in the 80's and loved it! Most of the ones I see now don't have that bridge; I think yamaha may have stopped producing it and used a more standard design for later issues. I know some people swapped them out because of a slight design flaw: there is nothing to keep you from unscrewing the fine tuning knob all the way when you detune. I imagine many of these very finely machined knobs (finished black, of course) wound up on the floors of stages and rehearsal spaces. I dropped screws out of mine once or twice, but was able to find them, reinstall them and not do it again. The playability of these is fantastic! The stock pickups I found to be only okay. If I remember correctly, (everything before '93 is a little hazy

) I dropped Dimarzio 8-poles in there and kicked boo-tay! Good luck with the sale!

These are great basses. I owned one back in the late 80' if I recall correctly. The paint on the back on the neck removes easily (I took it off with standard paint remover from Home Depot) and oiled it up. Played like a dream and in all honesty, sounded really good in recordings. Fun stuff.

I have a niece who has been bugging me to borrow one of my basses so she can learn how to play. Unfortunately she has small hands and none of my instruments are short scale. If this is still around after payday I may just jump on it.

I still have a huge soft spot for these basses. I rocked a white one/standard bridge back in the late 80's, and loved everything about it. Bump for nostalgia's sake, if nothing else. Someone buy this!
