This is a really cool, naturally reliced, vintage Yamaha Pulser 400 "P-Bass". It's serial number comes up as "invalid" on Yamaha's website but I believe that it was built between 1975 and 1977 in Japan based on the research I have done.
The neck and body on this bass are in amazing condition considering it's age. No real dings or dents to speak of! The tuning machines show a lot of natural wear and the finish is quite pitted. Nevertheless they still work very smoothly. The fingerboard and frets are also in great shape and the maple board has aged to a beautiful golden yellow color.
It currently has an active 9 volt EMG pickups in it which gives the bass a lot higher output and a more modern and aggressive voice. I was able to fit the battery into the factory rout under the pick guard so there were no additional routs necessary. I do have the original passive pickup that came with the bass and it will also be included as well as the tug bar and bridge cover (not pictured).
The bass really plays well with a nice low action. No issues, just a very nice bass with great looks, tone and playability. Only $375.00 OBO shipped and insured in the CONUS (gig bag & HSC included)
Own a piece of Yamaha bass history and a bass you can actually play and enjoy without spending a whole lot of cash!

Let me tell you, it was a fine, fine bass. Would have loved to have gotten it. Would love this one too, but sadly, no dinero.
