I bought this bass used at Guitar Center in 2005, it already had quite a few dings but it was still the best looking bass in the store. About 2 years later It was in its gig bag
leaning on a car when the car backed out and damaged it, the controls were pushed into the top cracking the wood and the headstock split on the back. The headstock
was repaired by a local shop and also 2 of the volume knobs were broken and ordered direct from Yamaha and replaced. A piece of Oak was used to cover the broken
cavity.
Some issues are a couple dings on the fretboard but they don't affect playing, the Oak piece doesn't fully cover the damaged area leaving a small gap near the
bridge area, several dings mainly around the top curve which aren't too visible when viewed from the front, the high eq knob hisses a bit when pushed past 9 o'clock(I usually
leave it around 7-8), there is a crack on the back of the body on the lower horn near the battery cover.
I'm still playing gigs with it and always get compliments on the tone and looks of it. I mainly play my Jazz bass though so I've decided to let this one go as I don't need 2
basses. This bass was a gigging bass and has wear which the pics will show.
It will ship in the same case it came with. The case is missing the middle latch.
The bass plays very well and sounds amazing, especially the low B.
