Up for sale is my custom-built Zon Legacy Elite V Fretless. It has partial fretlines (what Zon refers to as 1/2 & 1/2) and an incredible burl maple top. At the time Joe Zon was building it for me he said there was only enough of this amazing piece of wood for two basses. String spacing is 17mm, 34" scale.
It kills me to even consider parting with it, but it just doesn't get played very much and it deserves to be used (and the money could be used elsewhere).
FWIW, Joe told me that Michael Manring played this one before it left Zon and he loved it.
Looking for $2750 OBO shipped in the original Zon hard case.

Zon basses, in general, are absolutely amazing...but I particularly love basses like this. And that has to be the most beautiful top I've seen on a Zon. All the best with the transaction - the lucky buyer will be ecstatic! |

This bass does not have a trussrod. I have a few Zons and I've never seen the need for one. I have a 4-string Legacy Elite that I strung up tenor.......and then proceeded to tune the strings a 4th too high. All that extra tension didn't do a thing to the neck, but a couple of the strings did break from the stress. |
