This was custom made for me by Joe in '99, has single Seymour Duncan humbucker wired in parallel to a passive volume control, gorgeous spalted maple top, Hipshot Style A bridge. Comes in a vintage style Musicman hardshell case from same era. Pics on request.

$1200 including shipping to CONUS, only, thanks.

I would recommend posting pictures here as the right pictures can sometimes work wonders on the casual observer...

Beautimous! I had to pick in 2004 between a Zon Sonus fretted and Modulus Q5 and picked the Modulus only b/c the neck felt more slim to me. In hind site, I wish I chose the Zon- great basses. Love the simplicity too of the 1 knob, one pickup. Good Luck, I am sure you will sell it soon.

Thanks for posting those!

Nut width is 1 7/8", bridge spacing is 2 13/16" between G and B strings, 34" scale, excellent condition, there are some minor finish marks from the original bridge (I put the Hipshot bridge on), and from the Hipshot Ultralite tuners I had on the bass (the original ZON tuners are back on it, as seen).

It's all in the hands!

I have a fretted Sonus 5/1 that Joe did the same for me, but with a burl California walnut top on it.

That's a beauty! I picked up a Zon Sonus Fretless 5 several months ago, and I love it. Still struggling to get fully comfy with 5 strings though. I'm on the prowl for a Sonus 4, with or without frets.

yes it is... I actually play my Bennie 6'er Vol-Vol, I like it that way as well... even though it has active electronics.

I have shipped a bass to Sydney, a Höfner 500/1V63. This would probably be easier to ship as I can take the neck off to pack it in a smaller box.

Bump for a great bass. If it were 19mm at the bridge. . .
