Decided I have to sell the one bass that I'd never sell in order to fund another bass purchase. Bought this bass brand new in February after playing these basses at NAMM in January. Killer tone, set-up, feel. Most comfortable bass I've played or owned. Taking a huge risk doing it...but I guess we've all been there! Comes with a ZON gig bag.
$2800 shipped. Willing to work out a little better deal if sold locally.
NOW $2700 SHIPPED!!

Zon Sonus Custom 5 ($4,300.00)
Buckeye Burl Top ($1,000.00)
Two-Piece Swamp Ash Body
Clear Satin Finish Body
34" Scale / 24 Frets
Phenowood Fingerboard
Side Dot Inlays
Satin Neck Finish
Bartolini Soapbar Style Pickups
Bartolini 3 Band Preamp (active treble, mid, bass)
Black Hardware
Retail: $5,420.00

vid of it...nothing great but an idea of the sound starting at about 5:30:

Free bump. This shouldn't last long at that price.

I can't believe no one has jumped on this. If I had the scratch this would be mine! Talk about a dream bass!

Lesser basses have sold for much more here recently. Surprising to see this one still around.

What's the string spacing?

Not that I can afford to snag it, but it's a free bump for a ridiculously gorgeous bass.

String Spacing is the 17mm ZON standard. I think a few have 19mm...this one is 17. Makes it effortless to play. Slap or otherwise this thing is great!

Any neck-dive?

What kind of sound does it have when you play with the bridge pick-up solo'd?

Thanks!

There's a tiny amount if you were playing sitting down rested on your thigh without a strap I guess. Nothing more than any other bass I've played. Never even though about it until your question. Ive played some trio gigs sitting with it the whole time and never even gave it a thought. Ive had a warwick that had dive and it made me sell it. Standing with a strap it is seriously the best feeling and fitting bass I've ever owned without a doubt. Just sits perfectly.
The bridge pickup solo'd is where I think this bass shines. Very nice and jazz burpy if you will! For doing finger style solos i always blend just a touch to the bridge and it's perfect.
