FSO 2008 MTD 535/21 Ash/Spalt/Wenge/Wenge

Up for sale. The only reason, and I mean the ONLY reason, is because of chrisloe’s BN6 that is up for sale. If his bass sells before mine then this will get pulled immediately.

To save time and to be upfront don’t offer or ask for trades. I will not respond unless you have a BN6 and chrisloe’s has sold. .

$3K shipped CONUS only.

The bass was recently, 2 months ago, sent to Mike T to replace the preamp and a good going over. The pre had a glitch that neither he nor I could seem to rectify so I paid for a new pre to be installed.

Mike T sent it back and noted it was an “exceptional bass” and I agree with him. It is in a 9.5 condition. The only thing from keeping it a 10 is normal / minor wear on the bridge pieces.

Tim is a great TB'er, and this bass is awesome. The best MTD of the 5 or 6 I've owned, easily. Easily!!

Thanks Jason. My GAS list has been satisfied except for an FBass and even now I am not sure. I got home from church were I gave the MTD a workout and was totally happy with it. I got everything out of it and even more to boot. I got 3 compliments from fellow bassists just on the tone. A lil slap with some finger style mixed in oh yeah baby. I think I am talking myself into pulling this thread. Hmmm.

Quite a few offers just under the 3K tag.

So after some thought I will accept $2850 plus shipping. I will not go any lower so dont ask.

Once again if C-Loes bass gets sold this will be pulled. Time is of the essence.

Someone is going to get a lot of tone per dollar on this one. All MTDs are alive, but the ash/wenge ones are on another level. Keep it Tim! You don't look good in blue!!

I agree with ya on that one, I have an Ash/Spalted Maple/Wenge/Wenge combo and the sound for fingerstyle and slap is just plain "SICK". I got rid of my MTD535 like it last year and was lucky enough to find another one this year and this baby isn't leaving my sight! MTD 4LYFE!

After much thought I have decided to keep this one guys. As much as I am interested in an Fbass I am not willing to let the MTD go. Apologies to all who have Pm'd and shown serious interest. but its "MY PRECIOUS" lol.
