FSO: Gretsch G5123B (Orange)

Selling my wonderful sounding hollowbody. This thing just kills, currently wearing TI flats. Sounds great unplugged, very alive. Great mids, it really sings. I am the oringinal owner, I purchased new from GC. It has a gigbag. I'm selling to fund my new rig restoration and clear up some bills.
Excellent condition. Never gigged, just played in my smoke free home.

$600 Shipped,

I'm located in MN and I will drive a reasonable distance for semi local people for pickup.

Awesome sounding bass, I've got tape wounds on mine...played it for a bandmate, and he said "dude, if you ever show up WITHOUT that bass, you ain't playing"...They look great, they play great and they sound ANAZING...and I've seen 'em going on Ebay for 900...they don't make the orange ones anymore, so this is a screaming deal...SOMEBODY jump on it

This Korean-made bass. Very sad.
US price for new without hard case 799.00.
Seller write "Source: Japan" no word about Korea...
I bought this bass thinking that it's made in Japan.

P.S. Cory, I am counting on your 100% positive feedback, but I was wrong.

Looks like original info was pasted from here. I own one of these, and am not sure why a word on the back of the headstock changes its value.

It's not just a word on a headstock. You understand that, right?

It really is, actually. These are excellent basses, and there is plenty of info available on TB about them. However, the spacing of the poles on the pickups not matching the string spacing is far more important than the back of the headstock. Since they are single pole pickups, the spacing issue can lead to string-to-string volume issues if you don't position the bridge properly.

Regardless, I hope the two can reach an agreement here. I'll disappear now, so as not to derail this any further.

Its way more than just a word, it's like buying a MIJ Fender vs a korean Fender, and believe me, judging from the price tags on the two, Fender thinks it's way more than just a word on the headstock.

No pics by the seller. Perhaps an honest mistake - but - could have cleared it up.

One rule that I always abide by: Never ever ever ever ever ever ever buy a bass without seeing pics of it first.

The seller stated "Source: Japan." The seller misrepresented the item (probably un-intentionally). The seller should provide a full refund to the buyer, and then relist the bass as "Made in Korea." The seller has a whopping 100 feedbacks on TB, so he is obviously a straight shooter.
