FS/FT: '06 Jerry Jones Longhorn Bass 6

Sign in to disble this ad
Bought a '75 Fireglo 4001, so now looking to sell only, no trades. Price dropped to $1,100 shipped CONUS in OHSC.

I LOVE this instrument, but I NEVER play it. Ack. I am really a guitar player who loves moonlighting on bass, and thus I thought this would be the perfect 6-string marriage. Turns out not so much. I do have two other JJ guitars (which I play all the time), but I just never quite found a musical home for this one.

If you have always wanted a gorgeous, super-friendly, short scale JJ tic-tac bass, then look no further: here it is. As you know Monsieur Jones has closed up his fabulous Nashville shop, so these are only going to become even more rare! It is copper with matching headstock, Gotoh bridge and tuners, super-cool black/brown OHSC. There are two very small (<5mm) scratches on the back of the neck, and one exceedingly small knick on the back of the body... otherwise, it's like new.

Let's do this thing!

Bump! (I just received a 4-string JJ Longhorn in the same color, played it last night for the first time at a recording session, and myself and bandmates had our jaws on the floor.)

Hmm... The bizarro world of economic strangeness takes another casualty, and this lovely longhorn finds itself "not sold after all."

Thursday morning "I'm gonna see the Flaming Lips in Chicago tonight" bump.

I used my 4-string at a rehearsal last night with a different band than Sunday's recording session. Same reaction. One of the guitar players said, "That now has to be your bass in this band."

Bump for rockstarsmd.

What's the scale length, string spacing at the nut and the bridge, weight?

Thanks,

Hey, I just found a virgin set of custom GHS nickel strings for it, too... so you got that going for you if you buy it... which is nice!
