Looking to trade my one of a kind MTD Vector Prototype.

The bass was made as a neck through and then hollowed out. a floating cedar top was added.

The top has a crack that runs from the bridge to the pickup that was repaired by Michael Tobias. Although the crack has been repaired and the top is fine, it is noticeable to the eye.

This bass can go from some serious mwah to an amazing upright sound.

This bass is not only a one of a kind instrument but is an amazing player as well. It is currently strung E to C but can easily be switched to B to G with just a truss rod adjustment (no need to recut the nut)

I am looking for a high quality, ABG. 4 or 5 string, fretted or fretless, ie Taylor AB, Emerald XB, etc (preferably 34" scale). Tell me what you've got

Thanks for looking
Mike Dimin

Wow, that's sweet looking! A few questions:

Do you have any audio recordings?
Does it come with a HSC?
Is the body depth normal or extra thick? (hard to tell from the pics)

Hi, Mike! If I hadn't traded away my Taylor AB we would be in tall cotton. I've wanted an MTD fretless for some time, and this is the first I've seen in forever.

I am still enjoying the myrtle-topped 435 you sold me years ago. I hope you and the family are doing great!
