FT: 1981 G&L L-1000

I have a 1981 Mahoghany body/ebony board L-1000. Nitro tobacco burst finish. It's in very good shape with some minimal wear but nothing too bad. All original except for a brass nut and non original 83 Fender hard shell case.

Plays amazing. I really like it but I have found that it doesn't fit as well in my band situations as a Precision. I have no problem keeping this for home use and recording as I really like it but figured I would throw it up here for a potential trade. I am not scared to keep this so no cash sales and nothing outside of my trade list.

My trade list is very small...

1. An Olympic White 62 AVRI Precision. I already have a sunburst so no sunburst. Would also consider any blue (I know they did Ice Blue and LPB in certain years). Fullertons are too high in value but would love a 90's edition. Not a requirement though.

2. Something Hofner-y.

3. Older (pre-90's) Precision in a players grade.

Not at the moment. Like I said...great bass, if I don't find what I am looking for I will be happy to hold onto it.

I forgot to mention this is pretty darn light for a hog/ebony L-1000. It is right around 9lbs.

I owned one almost identical to this nearly 28 years ago - I bought it new and always wished I had kept it. Picked up and 82AVRI 57 P-Bass shortly there after and just a few years later a 1965 CAR Jazz Bass. Of all the basses I have owned and parted with - this is one I would love to own. Alas, I have nothing on your trade list - but own 11 Basses so if you are curious I would love to discuss a possible trade for one or a combination. Beautiful L1000.
