FT: 1981 G&L L1000

Sign in to disble this ad
This pristine 1981 L1000 was recently purchased from the original owner. The finish has no checking, chrome plating is like new.
Pick up has slotted pole pieces, serial#BOO5415. Three bolt skunk stripe neck, with ebony fingerboard, always wore flats or half rounds, currently strung with chrome flats. Weight is 9.2lbs, original case, with keys
included. I would consider the following trades: (fretted)
G&L L2000, L1000, L100, JB-2, early SB-2 (JJ) or
Lakland Skyline JO, or Glaub.
email for more pics if interested.

Bump for what has got to be one of the cleanest Wunkays around.

Man, if I could play fretless worth a snail's spittle I'd be knocking down your door with trade bait.

I have an '81 with a similar (but fretted) macassar ebony board. I'll bet the fretless version plays like buttah!

Eric, its 1 5/8" at the nut,
Madcity, I had an 82 L1K, black with a maple neck,
lots of checking, and rather heavy. I've never played a
fretted ebony neck, it must be nice.
I tried half rounds on this, went back to chromes, might
sound good with some TI flats.
J mattis, thanks for the offer, I prefer maple necks.

Thanks Chef, I'm leaning towards getting a new G&L maple neck installed, and calling it a day. I'd be interested in a used 3 bolt G&L neck if anyone has one.
Thanks
Don
