FT / 1985 Wal MK1 Fretless

Just putting this out there as a feeler.
Picked up a amazing 1985 Wal MK1 fretless, a while back.
Wenge facings
Unlined ebony fingerboard.
Wal HSC.
This bass is everthing I was looking for in a Wal.
Just setup, new strings, (TIJF344 flats)
Plays and sounds like no other fretless I've owned.
Why would I let it go?
I need to replace my 1966-Bound-Dot-neck Jazz.
So I offer this Wal, for a 1965-1966 Fender Jazz Bass.
Must be original, no refinishes, or other mods.
I may come to my senses, and pull this add at any time.
Email me at lightgypsys@gmail.com for pictures.

If you go to the bass guitar section here in TB. ( Wal Club)
Go to page 12, Zentner posted some pictures of my bass.
Never took it out of my house since I got it a few months ago.
It is in great shape.

Here are pics for those who are "click lazy!!"

Mojo-man, Hope you find what your looking for! I could very well be wrong, but IMHO it's easier to find a vintage fender then a fretless Wal.....even one you thoroughly enjoy!!

I hear you my brother.
It would have to be the right Fender, for me to consider letting this go.
This bass is something special.

I have had a few questions about trades.
As I said before a 1965-1966 Fender Jazz Bass.
Also i would consider, a USA MTD 534 5-string with the right wood combo.
It would have to be a 34" scale USA MTD.

Don't do it man! Dot neck jazz basses are way easier to find than Wal basses!

Right now no.
I would rather trade, if the right bass came my way.
But through me a number, who knows ???

If I buy the bass, Will I instantly sound like Mick Karn and have to shave my eyebrows? Lol.

Added another trade.

Will consider a USA Lakland Decade, / Darkstar pickups.
Prefer passive pickups.
I would need the Lakland and some cash on your end?

I loved this bass while I had it, but eventually needed to let it go to fund my Carl Thompson.

Earlier in the year, I had the opportunity to buy a fretted Wal, and though I love my CT, I was definitely missing this old fretless. Someone's going to LOVE this bass!

Man I wish this had fret lines. Not sure I am ready for an unmarked fret board. Beautiful bass!
