This is my baby but my band is done for and i could use some extra cash, what with the economy and all. I'd like to trade this for a jazz, but will entertain other trades. I'm looking to get at least $400 coming my way in the trade.

The bass has a ash body, birdseye maple neck, and brazilian rosewood fingerboard. The bass has some road wear but nothing that affects the playability. Bass ships in its original musicman case. If someone is interested in just buying the bass, lets say $1250 shipped

Grizzly-I'm not a fan of the geddy's. To thin of a neck.

GE-Not really familiar with stingrays so i don't think i could give you a good idea. anyone care to help me out on the tone difference?

Just My 2 Cents

I had a 1981 Sabre with the same Pickups as that. The neck PP has a 16 pole piece like 2 J Bass pickups put together in the same case. The Bridge PU is the more standard 8 pole MM PU that you are used to seeing from them, except covered. The SABRE is the body and neck that later became the STERLING, which also had the 5 way toggle selector on it. As for the electronics... It this has the original pots in it....GREAT!!! The Volume is a 1 MEG Ohm and has a very nice gradual sweep to it and at max volume the active electronics will make any speaker jump out of their baskets. The bridge on the Sabre I had was made from a heavy cast (brass I think) with the adjustable individual string dampeners instead of the stamped bridge without dampeners on the Stingray. If only I had the cash.
