I have a 1996 fretless Sterling in immaculate condition. I've owned a lot of early 90's Sterlings and this one is by far the cleanest I have ever seen... no wear to speak of except for typical swirling. And that's exactly one of the reasons why I will eventually need to part with it: I tend to treat gear a little roughly, but I'm scared to throw this thing around because it's so nice looking.
Will consider trading this for a quality short or medium scale bass. I'm most interested in the Carvin SB-60. I also like the Guild JS-2 or JS-1, shortie Gibson basses, Japanese Rickenbacker copies. Not interested in Mustangs or Musicmasters.
