FT: 2005 Eshenbaugh 5

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD! This is a very nice bass, it plays and sounds great. There is a little wear on it but overall it is also in great shape. It has the Eshenbaugh preamp and pickups, 3 band eq and pickup selector switches and preamp bypass. The action is pretty low, it's right up my alley right now. I prefer my action low but with a little room for a tad of digging in. Weight is 7lbs, 9 oz. PM with whatever is on your mind.

Ideal trade would be a Fender CS jazz 5, and jazz 5s in general or a Rob Allen 5. Also, an original red fender mustang competition, dont ask, its for a friend. I will ship it for 1600 paypal eCheck.

Very pretty. What are the functions of all the knobs and switches; i.e. tell me about the electronics.

Is it just me, or is this bass really flat?

Gorgeous, though.

Hey, two pickup selectors and a preamp bypass. Then 3 band eq and vol/vol

Im responding to offers right about now. I'd say cash value is around 1600-1700 with its options for a few that have asked.

Id have to go home for the string spacing, but its either 18 or 19, I want to say 19.

The bridge isn't piezo, its just a custom thing Mark did. Like Carl thompson, or my boy at R basses, they do these neat wood bridges that are just off the hook. Its definitely a custom thing.

Was this one of Rob Geisler's old basses? If so, I think that I have played this one IIRC. Super thin and wicked light.

Hey this is like my bass's cousin!!!

Everybody who plays mine wants to buy it off of me! I'm really enamored with mine currently, these are great basses and I wish I could have gotten mine for $1500-1700!!!

Just to give some perspective, mine was $2800 new and it was passive, I paid extra to have Carey Nordstrand and crew do some work on it and put one of their dual coil pickups in it. That's over $3000 I put into mine and this one here is much less, it has the nice preamp already and these basses are only getting more and more rare until Mark decides to build some more again.

Good luck with the sale, somebody is going to be happy

Not sure who owned it, but yeah j-raj, that sounds right! It is 34", Im pretty sure but I'll make measurements later. 1600 plus shipping will do, I'll put that towards my ideal Jazz 5.

YEs it would be great to keep, but I'm an R bass guy when it comes to boutiques. Got 2 and got a third that I wont be able to keep. That really just means the herd is unruly

Not sure, there seems to be a light layer instead of just oil for a finish. there is some wear, the occassional impression and such. But past that there was nothing that I intentionally didn't take a pic of. Where the bridge is, the wood itself has some stuff going on but that is the wood.

I can take more pics this weekend if it helps fellas. Also, if anyone with a Rob allen 5 is interested, hit me up.
