NOW FS: Custom 5 String Lined Fretless - Guild Pilot

Sign in to disble this ad
Now FOR SALE: $650 PLUS SHIPPING

CONUS PREFERRED

THIS IS A PLAYER'S BASS. ORIGINAL OWNER. Artist endorsement custom build by Guild in 1987. I had the bass neck milled for frets at the factory by GUILD, and left open. There are no jagged lines. This is NOT a conversion from a fretted bass. The stock Pilot's came with a Poplar body, which for my taste had no resonance. I requested the body change to Maple.

34.5" Scale length
1-15/16th" Nut Width
Flame Maple Matchbook 2 piece slab

All custom work performed by NORIK RENSON in Studio City, CA, described here:
1. White markers
2. Epoxy finish on fingerboard
3. Bartolini 3 band preamp
V-V-B/T-M

I just don't play much fretless anymore and I'm looking for a P or PJ replacement 4 or 5 String....

Disclosure: Player swirls, some headstock dings, back of neck minor dings and 3rd fret ding on low string side....

PM me with your email and I'll send pix...

YouTube from Musicians Institute 1991: The Velvet Touch.mp4 - YouTube

TRADES:
P or PJ + $ for MIM
Hit me up...

Norik Renson (Luthier to McCartney and others...)

I can vouch for Norik Renson's work as I had a fretless Renson 5 (with lines) that was PERFECT!! Playability Unparallelled!! I secretly think that the body had been made by Tyler Guitars. It's that good!!
