FT-80s Ibanez X-series

got the bass on trade, missing pickguard. has EMG active pickups installed, the body has paint dings, neck in the back is pretty smooth. action is pretty low. straplocks on the plate and below the bridge. matching headstock
the bass is old so 7 out of 10

trade for? not sure
its made in Japan

Is the exact model listed on the bass anywhere?

it only says X-series and DB700 on the back of head stock
on the metal plate serial number and Made in Japan

From the looks of those routes, it appears that it had the same pups my '84 Ibby Musician has: a jumbo P style pup w/ adjustable poles housed in a rectangular shell, and a J humbucker w/ the same kind of poles in a soapbar sized shell.

Bumpage for a great bass!

These have INCREDIBLE necks on them! If you're looking for what the original pickups are, check out my thread, where I let the kids paint one that I salvaged. It's not the P style, but a true Jazz style humbucker.

one thing its kind of weird is the position of the straplock on the base plate....it kind of hangs on my body sort of uncomfortably....but those EMG pick ups sound great and i will custom make me pickguard and decided to keep the bass for now....
