FT: 9.5 out of 10 Ibanez TR-500 Expressionist

What we have here is an almost perfect. I say almost because I can't find anything wrong but 14 years has to have done something, 96 Ibanez TR-500 Expressionist. Sounds amazing and I don't mind playing it at all but it's not my soulmate so I'll keep looking. I prefer a trade and like pointy 80's basses with curves. Think Mockingbird or Jackson Charvel or Ibanez. You get the picture. I am open to any suggestions though. These Pics are from the previous owner and don't do it justice but I need new batteries in my camera.

Make me some offers!

I'm looking for $300.00 o.b.o. I'm pretty flexible for the right deal. Here is some info I found on it.

"TR Expressionist basses have the looks and sound of the great old classic basses," says Masashi Inoue of Ibanez, "but they're a lot less expensive than an old classic bass. Plus thanks to our Power Tier stack pickups," he continued, "TR Expressionist basses don't have the classic single coil noise. "According to Mr. Inoue TR Expressionist basses feature traditional passive pickup sound, but their active EQ gives them much greater tonal versatility than traditional basses. Mr. Inoue added that the active EQ us bypassable. "Not only does this allow completely passive tone, but it also means--unlike many active EQ systems--that bassists can keep playing even if the battery runs out on stage.".

All TR Expressionist basses feature:
Body: alder
Neck: 1 pc maple w/rosewood fretboard
22 frets with medium frets
Pickups: passive Powertier stack pickups
EQ: active EQBIII (Bypassable)
Available models:
TR600 $799.99 Available finishes: Cayman Green, Royal Blue
TR500 $679.99 Available finishes: Black, Mint Green, Vintage Burst
TR505(5 string)$799.99 Available finishes: Vintage Burst

I'm just more of a passive old school guy. But you are right it is a whole lot of bass. Thanks for the Bump!

$225.00??? Somebody has to want a nice jazz style bass for dirt cheap. Make me an offer I can't refuse. I'm pretty resonable.

Yup. It's about ready to visit the pawn shop for a month to help fund another purchase and just come back at the end of the month and stay.

Matter of fact that is exactly what's going to happen. Thread closed!
