FT American Deluxe Frankenbass $275.00

Sign in to disble this ad
I put together a Fender American Deluxe Frankenbass of sorts:
USA Fender JP90 neck
USA Fender Double jazz pickup
USA Fender/John Suhr 3 band preamp
MIM Fender P pickup and bridge
MIM Fender tuning pegs
SX body/neck plate

This is a cool bass but I already have a couple of P basses and I'm interested in trying something else.

Issues:
Ding near the neck pocket by the lower cutaway

There are a few screws missing from the machine heads, does not affect anything and they are secure.

The JP90 neck is great but it is an older neck (the JP90 is an older bass) and it has its share of minor dings and scratches.

The total of the parts to put this together was probably around $400.00 but will sell for $275.00 plus shipping.

I'm open minded but am specifically looking for: Ibanez RD500 or 900, Ibanez ATK, Washburn XB900 and other Stingrayish sounding basses. Mainly looking for something with a modern tone. Also like Spector Legend series basses.

The Washburn I would need to do some research on and the Spector sounds killer but I don;t have money to put in. I could throw in another bass for the Spector (a Yamaha BB-415) and make it a two for one deal. The Yamaha is a great passive 5 string PJ. Great tone and playability.

I listed a for sale price rather than just trade offers. Still would love a trade for an RD500 or and ATK.

I found a correct stacked knob so that is not an issue. Run some trade offers by me.

Keith is really great to deal with and this Frankenbass is an awesome steal. If I didn't already just deal for a different bass I'd snag this one up right now. I still might if funds allow.

Buy it now while you still have the chance.

I ended up putting a fretless Squier jazz bass neck on this bass. Price drop to $200.00.
