FT: Atelier Z M265

Hi, after log time debating I am finally putting for trade my Atelier Z M265 five string bass.

This is an excellent example of how to make perfect 70's sounding jazz bass in five string version.
Playability is great, action can be set very low without buzzing.

For the record, last fall I was deciding if to move Atelier or Sadowsky MS5 and Sadowsky went out of the door and Atelier stayed..

At the moment I have several basses for the JB sound (F-Bass 5, Fender JB 1976, Moon JJ-4) and the GAS is telling me that I need some other flavour, so this time the Atelier is on the block.

Atelier Z specs:
34" scale
17 mm string spacing
11.8 lbs weight
Atelier Z single coil pickups
Aguilar OBP3 preamp - controls: volume, volume, mids, stacked treble/bass
(original Bartolini 2-band preamp included)
Schaller straplocks
Nice, very thick padded Atelier Z gigbag
Everything works, no issues.

The bass I'd preferably consider for trade would be Ken Smith BSR5J or Roscoe LG/SKB 5 string.

Thanks!

I used to have one of these and regret selling mine. It was an amazing bass live for sure.

Free bump and I wish I could buy this from you.

bump

Didn't I buy yours Chris? I know everyone is into featherweight basses these days but these basses have got the tone, especially if you like to slap. Great fingerstyle tones too. I have to pump up the mids some on my amp to get mine to growl the way I like so the 3 band should be a nice addition. I love mine and even though it's heavy I don't have trouble with it on club gigs. It sounds fantastic and the action kills. Somebody grab it.
