FT: Best Looking USA Lakland 55-94 on the planet! TRADED.

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a near mint condition USA Lakland 55-94 with a stunning buckeye burl top and birdseye maple fretboard. The bass comes with the original case also in near mint condition. I am very hesitantly posting this because this is one of the best playing most versatile basses I have ever owned. The only issue I have with it is that it is 35" scale and I'd rather have a 34" scale 5 string bass. Believe me, I'm certainly not pushing this one out the door. I'd gladly keep it if the right trade doesn't come along. I'd be willing to trade down or sideways but not up as I have no money to offer in addition to the bass. Look here for high resolution pictures: http://s929.photobucket.com/albums/ad135/abraham754/ NO LONGER AVAILABLE. TRADED WITH OTTO B

What I'm looking for:

High end 5 string bass with 34" scale
Must have 18mm or 19mm string spacing
I tend to gravitate toward more traditional designs.
Would Prefer it be a versatile bass with active preamp
No fretless

Here are a couple of quick pictures for those too lazy to click on link.

This is the exact bass I saw on Bass Central's website that I really, really wanted a couple of months ago. Too bad both my basses are 55-94's and 35" scale; I'd trade you one with cash in a heartbeat. Best of luck with your trade, and bump for one of the most desirable basses I've ever seen!

It looks great apart from that mouldy dark stain on the front.

I'm gonna have to pass on the L2000 and 77pbass. I'm really looking for 5. It would have to be a really special bass for me to consider a 4 string. Thanks for the offer.

Abe ... you got to be kidding man!!!!! You loved this bass so much and now getting rid of it?

Gents: I have seen this bass in person and played it myself. It is MINT!!! It sounds and feels amazing!

I got my 55-94 from Abe (since he would not let this one go) 2 months ago and he had this bass with him at that time. I can tell you that this is truly an amazing bass.... I have to pull my pants up and try not to make him a trade offer ....Will be extremely hard.

Too bad he did not like the basses I had at the time to convice him of letting this one go.

This will not last long here. I know it for sure.

I have done about 4-5 trades and trades plus minus cash with Abe on different ocassions over the last 2 years and I vouch for him saying that he is truly "Honest" as his profile name is. Will deal again anda agian and again with him anyday without even hesitate about it.
