I have wanted this bass in this color (black sparkle with rosewood and matching headstock) for years. It took me years to find one for sale. Im not one to use an items rarity as a selling point usually, but another one like this will honestly be hard to come by. If I could keep this one, I would. However, my main SR5 has a bunch of sentimental value. I need another flavor in the stable and have some things Id like to try, or this one would be a keeper.
In good overall condition. No functional issues at all. Plays and sounds great. This is a fine example of how a StingRay 5 should feel, sound and play. Not sure of the weight, but Id have to guess right around 10 pounds. One of the lighter SR5s Ive come across. Has black Dunlop straplocks (no orig. buttons). Original hardshell case included.
The only real issues are cosmetic, and may or may not be issues for you. Both should be easy fixes. The tuning pegs have tarnished a bit. They just werent wiped down seemingly. You can get replacements from EB Cust. Service if its that big of a deal to you. The second is that there is a little rust on the pickup pole pieces and just a couple very small spots on the bridge. I have had a couple EBMM basses with rust on the pole pieces before. In one instance I just lightly rubbed it with a high grit sandpaper and that took care of the issue. All that said, these things are minor. The pics will show you the severity. I always try to be 100% in detail when I sell, because I dont want there to be ANY surprises.
