First off I have been a long time lurker on the site but just recently scraped the guitar all together and now "pretend" to be a Bass player...more like a bass player with more money than sense or skills! I have more references than my wife cares to know about but if you are a member of Harmony Central, Gearpage, RigTalk, Birds and Moons(PRS Forum) then you most certainly recognize my name and I would be more than happy to talk via telephone if a deal is made....now that that is out of the way.
I have a brand new (purchased in late 09') and has sat in a studio closet ever since...very sad but true! This is a 08' per the serial number (Z8000XXX) and is untouched. The plastic and stickers are on the pickguard, the manual, tools, and case candy is still sealed in the plastic, and Fender hardshell case and there is not a mark or a blemish on this bass period...sadly it has been forgotten during all of my electric guitar and amp shuffling of the past 3 years! I have a real nice Warrior that I have been using when I played bass and now I have made the transition to bass I really want a jazz bass after messing around with a friends Jazz Bass (G&L of some sort).
So looking for a nice Jazz bass or something with 2 separate single coils and preferably USA made ro maybe a Warwick as those have alway appealed to me astetically. I just don't feel comfortable with a pick and the P-Bass just doesn't feel like the 2 separate singles as far as my hand placement goes.
I am looking for an even up deal and not looking to add or take any cash in a deal....my wife either kills me for adding $$ when we are in the middle of trying to get a second house or she just takes any money that I would get back
