I have a bunch of basses I hardly ever play so I'm looking to condense the herd down a bit. Mix and match whatever instruments you're looking for to get the right values. I CANNOT ADD CASH TO ANY TRADE. Pictures up as I can get them up.
-08 American Standard P-bass: Great shape. Very minor player wear, although there is a ding on the treble horn where it got hit with a Les Paul. An awesome sounding P-bass, and one I don't want to part with, but I never play it, so I've got no excuse. Currently strung with DR Hi Beams that have a little play time on them (Put them on in October, and I haven't played the bass much since) Very light with sustain for days. Its got a super aggressive tone to it. On hold!
-1997 62 RI Precision Bass: Great shape for a 13 year old bass. Minor player wear. Bridge cover isn't attached but will be included. I do not have the pickup cover. Has a professionally installed brass nut and a brass bridge whose maker I am unsure of. It fits the Fender bridge footprint. Also has gold Schaller tuners installed. Original bridge and tuners will be included. Olympic White, Rosewood, Tort Traded!
-FrankenFender Precision Bass. Newer highway series neck with the 70s logo on a replacement body. The body was handmade by a luthier (can't remember the name off of the top of my head) and its the same dimensions as a regular Fender P. Mirror pickguard, and 70s DiMarzio Precision pickups with creme covers. The replacement body has lots of player wear and mojo but its super light due to the routing underneath the pickguard.
I recently thought that this was stolen, although it was borrowed, and then lost, and then returned, all pretty much without my knowledge. (My exgirlfriend's brother took it) While I really like the bass (and it has a really weird tone to it that I love) I just can't look at it anymore and play it due to the circumstances surrounding. Natural, Rosewood, Mirror Still available!
-2004 Fender Jazz Bass, 62 RI. I bought one of these off of Quad, and I ended up selling it after I had a sour taste in my mouth. Missed it, and bought another one. I just don't play Jazz basses anymore, and this is a great one. A few minor body dings, and some very minor scuffing by where you install the strings and I believe there is another small scuff area on one of the black parts of the sunburst, I'll have to double check. This bass is CIJ. Traded!
-1964 Gibson Thunderbird IV. This is the old reverse body style. Was refinished pea green at some point, although the original, badly damaged sunburst is visible underneath. I'm assuming the refin was nitro due to the player wear on it. The neck was repaired and then broke again due to me pulling back the headstock for harmonics like I do on my Fenders. It was shipped here to me in and the neck started to fall apart, and is currently in a 5 pieces. (Body, headstock, area of neck between head stock and finger board, and then two long strips of wood going down the neck so you can see the truss rod)
I always said I'd get around to doing a proper restoration, but I don't like thunderbirds, and I like having my bills paid (poor as a church mouse right now) Everything else on it is original, and I have an old appraisal from Elderly Instruments from about 16 years ago verifying that. It was one of my father's basses and ended up sitting underneath his bed, for a long while, before I got to it while I was in High School, rebroke the HS, and then under the bed it went again, until I had it shipped to me. I never bothered getting a quote on it. I have all the wood pieces to the neck, as well as the covers and thumbrest and OHSC. Sold!
-GK 2001RB. Great amp, and I just never play it. Traded!
-SLM era SVT3 Pro. Minor rack rash. Never play this one either. Traded!
Looking for basses I don't have! Stingrays, active basses, US Laklands, G&Ls, small builders, anything! Throw whatever you want at me.

I have to remember where I put it in storage. The refin is heavily checked, and thats what you can see the original finish underneath. They're both flaking off, and I'm assuming it was because the original finish wasn't stripped prior to the refin.

I have some old pictures of the 08 American Standard. This was when I had it strung with GHS flats, but I haven't played it much since, so I guess these pictures are still valid. | OH.......daddy wants. |
