FT: Carvin SB5001

I literally just got this bass a few days ago and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work in the context of my current band, so I can't really justify keeping it. That said, I don't have a problem with keeping it if nothing tickles my fancy and I reserve every right to pull this ad if I change my mind.

The bass has a chambered swamp ash body with a figured claro walnut top and matching headstock. It has a satin matte finish, a custom clear pickguard, and a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. It weighs 9ish pounds.

For trades, throw pretty much anything my way. Preference would be given to a 5 string (I would love to try a Dingwall Combustion) or something that could handle a low B, or a Modulus Flea. Trade value is $1200 and I might be willing to throw in some cash for the right deal.

Bump for an awesome playing and sounding bass!

I've setup 5 different SB5000/5001 basses and while ALL were good, this bass took the lowest setup without buzz. Add to that the sound of the H50 pickups with the wood combo's and you've got an awesome bass.

If not for GAS for a real special G&L L2500 this one would have spent its entire life in Georgia.
