Bass

Problem
6 string is killin' the wrist.

Solution
Does anybody have this bass in 4 string?!?!! that's what I'm shooting for, if that doesn't work, I'll just have to cut off my wrists.

Or...some veteran six stringers can PM me some advice on how in the hell you play six primarily...

Thanks.

So I don't suspect there are a lot of Clover bass owners out there. I'll be waiting here for a little while just in case.

For the sake of reality, I'll open this up to trade options but I'm really only interested in the following and they are listed in the order of my desire:
Nordy 4 string fretted/fretless

Possibly:

Lakland 4-94 fretless or fretted
Sadowsky 4 string fretted/fretless
Valenti/Lull fretted/fretless
I might consider some others nice 4 strings. No 5's...sorry. Unless you're really desperate and you want somebody to make you feel good about the bass you own, I'll do that, but I probably won't be interested in your bass.

By the way - I prefer lines on my fretless.

Soundclips:
R&B

Jazz

Funk

(you'll probably need some headphones to hear these ;-)

Specs
Mahogany body, walnut top, silk matte polyurethane finish on the back of the neck (smoooooth and quick!), rosewood fingerboard, 20" radius and 34" scale. The string spacing at the bridge is 18.00mm adustable +/- .5mm

Pickups
Delano SBC6 HE/S-4 - Quad Coil Humbucker

Preamp
Delano custom 3 band similar to these
Volume, Balance, Bass, Mid, Treble and the coil-splitting mini-switch

Weight
Right around 9lbs...I weighed it when I first got it. Since then the scale has been packed somewhere in storage so I don't remember the exact weight. Definitely light, especially for a six string.

I'm still entertaining some trade offers (see post #2) but I'd like to wait it out just a little while to see if some 4 string Clover bass owner shows up and wants to trade.

Thanks.

For those who asked, I'd need $1800 for this bad boy

I think I'm just a german bass guy because every time I hear a bass from there I love it! If you're looking for a straight sale please let me know. I've also got my Spector Euro 4LX for trade if we could work something out that way.
