FT: Custom Sage Bass 4 strings

Sign in to disble this ad
I got this bass from a fellow TBer a while ago and it's the most beautiful boutique bass that I've ever owned. But I find myself more confortable with 34-inch instrument.

The bass is very clean and well maintained. The only flaw is a two-inch sratch on the back near the neck joint. You can see it on the pic that I took. No big deal.

As for the bass itself, here is the info:

Sage Long Horn Bolt-on 4 strings (www.sageguitars.com)

Red/brown stained mahogany body

Mineral stained & flamed maple top w/ black veneer line

Five piece flame maple & mineral stained flame maple neck

Macassar ebony fretboard w/ metal circle inlays

Aero custom MM style pickups in macassar ebony box

Glockenlang three band pre w/ passive mode & passive tone control

Custom David King knobs made of macassar ebony & flamed maple

Black Hipshot hardware w/ dunlop strap locks

35'' scale length

Trades I'm looking for is basically 4-string 'Fender' style bass, i.e. Sadowsky metro, Lull, Lakland. Please PM with your offers and let's see if we can work out any deal.

A Sage bass usually costs you about $3K if bought new and I spent about $1600 on this one so I'd like to trade it for a bass around the same value. Thanks guys.

I had a chance to play a Sage once, and I tell you, I should have bought it. Glad another TBer ended up getting it (GeneralElectric I think), for less than the cost of a MIM Jazz! Someone at GC screwed that one up for sure. These ARE and PLAY like multi-thousand dollar instruments. If only I had something to trade...

Bump, good luck.
