FT Danelectro DC bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for trade, my Danelectro DC bass: NO LONGER AVAILABLE!
I am the original owner of this bass, which is no longer made and getting harder to find in great shape used. The specs can be found here:

http://www.danguitars.com/BassGuitars.html#DC%20Bass

Included is the matching Danelectro tweed gig bag, which is now also out of production.

It is 34" scale, wearing TI Jazz Flats (sounds fantastic!) and is in superb condition. It has a very fast and comfortable neck and is extremely light weight. It has never been gigged and has rarely left my smoke free home. It is difficult to let this one go, but I have really been wanting a P style bass and I can't justify more instruments without trading something. If you need more pictures let me know and I wil email them.

For trades I am looking for a P or PJ style bass, or possibly a nice acoustic like a Breedlove. I am also open to adding some cash on my end for the right bass. The only thing I really probably won't consider is a jazz bass since I have one already. Please feel free to run any ideas by me. Thanks!

Unfortunately I have nothing I'm willing to part with at the moment. I'm hoping to track down a MIM Fender p-bass of some sort to offer you. I really want that bass!

I don't believe they ever made a short scale DC, but I am not positive. There seems to be more of the short scale Longhorns for sale anyway, so you shouldn't have a hard time finding one of those if that would work for you.

I would prefer a trade, but if the right bass doesn't come along selling will be an option.

I bought it new in '99 or 2000, so it had to be made around then. I looked for my receipt, but we have moved a couple times since then and I can't find it. It has a serial number, but to the best of my knowledge there is no date relevance in the number. In any case, I don't think they have made any DC basses since 2000 or so.

Yup, I had a longhorn some time ago. Nice bass indeed, but I had to part with it to fund other things... now i'm kinda itchin for that sound again
