FT FEELER! '05 Fender MIA Precision

Sign in to disble this ad
This is just a feeler. I have all right to pull the thread and call it a day.

This is an awesome bass. Never been gigged, and before the cosmetic mods it was NOS, but I have changed some cosmetics of the bass. I love it, I do, but it seems like the honeymoon has warn off. I miss the bright sound of a Jazz bass, and the ability to slap. I know, you can slap a P bass, and I have, but I miss the Jazz. Im playing my fretless Precision almost exclusively, and my Squier P bass sounds good enough to cope.

Inca Silver
Maple/Maple
Added:
3 ply mint guard (no original guard)
bridge and pickup covers
white pickup casing (black included)

Its the silver one. The other two ARE NOT for sale or trade.

For trades Im looking for:

Fretless:
Clement 4 or 5
Warwick fretless 5s
Fender Tony Franklin Sig

Fretted:
Fender M. Miller jazz
Lakland 55, 44, etc.
Fender MIA Jazzes
EBMM SR4, SR4 HH

Just throw it out there, worst I can do is say no.

How about a streamer?

Or an Ibanez BTB Prestige five string?

Or a Spector Six?

Or MY brother?

This bass is ridiculously good-looking... DON'T DO IT!

Brother sounds nice...

If you mean the fretless Streamer...

I might come to my senses Zack, you never know. I just miss slapping and punch. Its sat on the stand for about 2 weeks with about 30 minutes playing time.

I hear ya brother, I love my jazz more than life itself. but I want a five string stingray. for some stupid reason... I really have no idea why, my jazz is the perfect bass IMHO. but then again, when it comes down to a Precision or a Jazz? I would have a hard time choosing if it were my last bass(thank God it isn't) but the Jazz would probably end up winning in the end... what a depressing topic... the last bass you can ever play? stuck with one? sounds atrocious.

I plan on modding my Squier with a less bright pickup to keep the vintage flatwound feel, but I miss having a bass to just go crazy on.

Im really wanting a Lakland DJ, DJ5, or Fender MM.

nice bass used to own a inca silver precision bass with a funky blue pearloid pickguard, had a rosewood fretboard. nails the classic precision tone. good bass great neck and good stock pickups i miss that bass sometimes. good luck with the trade im sure you'll get some nice jazz offers.

Straight trade for a Fender Marcus Miller is my main want. I really want white, or sunburst, but natural is considered too.

When I saw your threads about switching from jazz to P i thought to myself secretly in my head...

"He'll be back, just wait..."

I was right!

personally I would keep this MIA P bass and trade your VM P bass for the artic white CV Jazz

I feel you though
I have 2 Ps (1 fretted and 1 fretless) and 1 Jazz
got to have a Jazz for that sick slap sound
I pretty happy with that setup and I think you would too

*the new shoreline gold MM looks killer too!!
