FT feeler: 1973 Fender P/J - Candy Apple Red!

Sign in to disble this ad
For the moment this is a TRADE ONLY ad: I love this bass, but am looking for something similar that weighs less. This bass is around 10 lbs, which means I can't play 3 or 4 hour gigs with it very easily. And as much as I love playing my vintage P's, I hate to see them sidelined for this reason.

I'll provide as much info as necessary, but I imagine this may be a long shot anyway, so for now a brief summary:

Non-original: pickups (with added J pickup of course), electronics, pickguard.

Original: everything else, including the CAR finish.

It's a player's bass, not a collector's.....lots of wear and chips, etc. What I want is a P bass that's along these same lines: vintage preferred, but MIGHT also consider a vintage reissue. Must be in the 8 lb. range. Changed parts are ok - like I said, I want a player's bass.

More info to follow if needed, but just to be clear: it's not for sale now, just for specific trade. Thanks!

(Also, I'll be away from internet access for most of the afternoon, so any potential inquiries will be answered later - thanks.)

Thanks guys! This bass has no shortage of the cool factor.

I should mention too, any potential trades could be +/- cash either way, depending on the instrument.
