Hey guys. I've had this bass for a few months and love it, but I'm just not playing it as much as I had hoped.

It's a 1974, meaning the body is maple, and features a one-piece neck with a skunk stripe (as opposed to having the headstock joined at the nut), a rare find in these basses.

It's all original and in pretty good condition, with standard wear from use. It's hard to spot most of the blemishes in the finish from farther than 3 or 4 feet; the most obvious cosmetic issues are a chip in the decal, wear at the top of the headstock, and the wear near where your arm would rest. The neck feels amazing, and the action is set very low (which means there is a little buzz, but that was a part of the sound I was going for). It is currently strung with DR Lights (but they are fairly dead). All the hardware appears to be original, and, as you can see, it still has the bridge cover. It will ship in the pictured (non-original) hardcase.

I figured I would post the photos showing the worst of the wear on the bass here in an attempt to be honest. If you want more, I would gladly provide them for you.

I'm really trying to see what I can get as far as trade offers go. I have a friend in town who has intrest in purchasing it straight up, but I would rather see what TB has to offer me, so let's stick to that for now.

I'm really looking for other older basses. Something with some mojo. Ideally, I would love to end up with a 70's P (plus some cash on my end, if necessary) out of the deal, but for now I'll entertain any serious offers.

Thanks for looking.

While waiting on that PM I want to take the time to state that this bass' favorite pedal is one of your creations.

Would you be willing to sell it outright? From one Brian Cook fan to another? Eh? Ha. Let me know.

PM headed your way, Dave.

But, because you aren't the only one asking, I'll say that as of right now I'm REALLY gassing for a 70's Precision, but I might settle for a modern one, depending. As such, I'm going to milk this trade thing for a little longer, but if I really can't make it happen it will probably just go up for sale. We shall see.
