I’m really in the mood for a straight up trade, if possible. I’ll outline my trade interests below, but first here’s the unique offering up for grabs.
1978 Guild B-302 AF
“Collectable” Condition
Everything original except volume/tone knobs (has clear Lucite ones, circa early 80’s)
Finish is near immaculate, original varnish intact, no belt rash
Two very small dings, hard to see (see last two pictures below)
Unlined fretless fingerboard, very little wear
Huge crown headstock intact, no dings
Set neck – “baseball bat” neck
Original single coil pickups
Schaller tuners
Strung with flats – huge thump
Comes with gig bag (do not currently have a case)
Here’s a good guide to the model. Note that the AF stands for ash body and fretless.

My guy who inspected and appraised the bass said it’s likely this one got virtually no playing time because it was an unlined fretless…. very intimidating for the 16-yr olds who bought these in the late 70s/early 80s. Lots of closet time.
I would honestly value this bass at $900 - $1000. But I’m just looking for a trade.
I think the pictures below speak for themselves. Please excuse the poor photography – some dust and carpet fibers are showing up on a few of the pix, not scratches or wear.

What I’m interested in trading for is very limited:
Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray SLO Special (has the slimmer neck)
Ernie Ball Music Man Bongo 4HH or HS – stealth finish would be killer
Fender CIJ Jazz re-issue or Noel Redding Jazz – strongly prefer 3-tone sunburst
Reverend Rumblefish
Thanks for looking, fellow bassist!
