FT Feeler: 2004 Lakland Skyline Hollowbody **Inca Silver, Dual DARKSTARS!!!**

I cannot believe I am doing this again!

I just got this sorely missed bass back home ... and paid a premium to do so -- well worth it!!

The ONLY reason I am testing the waters is that I have found a one-of-a-kind short scale bass loaded with dual darkstars.

After picking up a killer Landing L30T, I have found all of my other basses less comfortable by comparison. Rather than fight it, I'm moving to short scales. Whodathunkit?

So once again I am lighting up the TB gas flames with this killer instrument

In exchange, I'm looking for a quality micro (or smallish) head that puts out about 500W into 4 ohms ... plus cash of course. I'm thinking along the lines of MB Fusion 500, Shuttle 6.2, Streamliner 600, Tonehammer 500, WT-550 ... maybe Thunderfunk, Markbass, Ampeg of some sort, or ? Might also consider a lower powered head like a Walkabout ... I like tube warmth. The head will be powering my new-to-me TC112AF.

More high res pics here. These are old photos, but the bass is in identical condition.

Hit me up with offers. I reserve the right to come to my senses. This will be pulled if the other bass is no longer available.

Thanks for looking!

PM's replied. Have a couple nice offers to consider so far.

Some more details:
-super clean / near mint
-First year model (serial number starts with 0404) ... Reportedly one of the first off the line (read: very high quality)
-1.6 inch nut
-34 inch scale
-About 8.5 lbs
-includes OHSC (lakland/TKL)
-Factory installed darkstar pickups-- about $400 upgrade (in 2004 when the pickups were still being made!) ... Fantastic, hot, dynamic. responsive single coil pickups based on Guild Bisonics ... Lakland indicated that very few of these basses left the factory with the darkstars (my personal favorites)

I'm the second and fourth owner :-)

Shoot me any questions / offers.

That was on the list in my head but somehow never made it to print. I've been hearing this recommendation from several sources. Duly noted and trade interests updated.

Thanks, amazing bass for sure!

I have never played one of these. How is the balance? Does it neck dive? Can you get the Phil sound?

Thx!

No neck dive. Killer ergonomics for a hollow IMO.

She has a surprisingly wide range of sweet tones on tap. As far as nailing Phil, well it's not an alembicized guild. Plus there are so many other tone factors besides the bass. But i think this lakland gets you in the neighborhood with the right strings, technique, etc.

PMs replied. Got a couple nice offers on the table. Love to hear some more :-)
