About the bass:
There are a few nicks in the finish that show the wood, most notably by the forearm contour. The headstock had a decal of the store it was consigned at and when I remove it some of the finish came with it.

The finish on the neck seems like it didn't take well to climate change in its past so there are a few imperfections, the photos will reflect this. Also, previous owner routed out a rear compartment for a preamp

and currently it has active EMG's with a passive volume/tone circuit.
So she's not a beauty queen but this thing sounds soooo good unplugged I knew she was a keeper.
Taking all this in to account I'd value it at $800-$900. (Ebay has modded sunburst and naturals selling at that value so considering mocha is fairly rare, I'll keep it there.)
Bought this bass maybe 10 months ago. Babied it since then because it's my pride and joy, but summers coming and I need a new bike (fixie or 2/3 speed if anyone local wants to trade

).
That's the rational side of me, the irrational side says trade it towards a Ric. So either way works for me. I like all Ric's (4001/3, 3000/1) except for the standard colors (Black, Maple, Fireglo). I'm a sucker for white, burgandy, teal/azureglo, red.
